Swapping U310BT with NEX5000

I currently have a U310BT in my car and just purchased the NEX5000. Will I be able to basically just swap the 310 for the NEX5000 during the install? Will the main power/harness plug on the 310 plug right into the NEX?

i don't to sound stupid but you do know the answer you seek, since you already have the radio in you hand, just compare the wires and hardness on both radio.

I ordered it but have not yet received it so I can't compare it yet.

I know the avic-D3 plug and the z130bt I had was not the same. maybe you will get lucky

Nope, the U & Z 130BT use a different connector vs the 5000-8000NEX.  

 

The main difference is where the 12v constant and ground wire pins are located in the connector   For the U & Z 130 they're on the right and for the 5000-8000NEX they're on the left.
