Can you change startup image on the Z1?

yo.....

I'm a little confused on if you can change the startup image on the Z1.. Can you? if so, how?

Does this require me to remove the HDD and hook it up to my computer?

any help would be appreciated, thanks

ALSO NOTE: My Z1 didn't come with any discs of any sort, everything is apparently preloaded on it.. is that how it's supposed to come?

yes you have to connect hd to pc and unlock then you can modify the files.. yes your z1 came as it should with no disks and map info loaded on hd already

check out the z1 hacking section, theres an adapter for laptop drive to ide youll need to.

According to the Z2 manual you will be able to change the splash screen. So maybe the anticipated software update will include this feature. I think I am going to wait and see.

sounds a lot better tahn unlocking your hard drive.
