I'm 95% done installing D3, first timer..now if I can get help on the other 5% I'd be set...@ questions...

Crutchfield didn't send me a dash kit for the d3 to fit in my dash..after reading install manual i figured i didn't need it..The D3 is either to far in or out when I put the dash back together..do I need to go out and get the dash kit?

Last?..My truck has the feature that when you turn the ignition off the radio stays on for a while..is it normal for the D3 to change stations while this function is occurring and shut off when I open the door?, or should the D3 function just like the stock?..

PS..I hadn't preset staions when this occurred..

Thanks

I have a 06 Zephyr and that function works fine.

I did not have to do anything in particular, the line that gets the power to the receiver is tied to a switch when the door opens it kills the power unit turns off.

I would check wiring harness connections.

It should not randomly change tuner channels.

Yes get a kit for the truck. Makes it look factory. As said before no the avic should not be changing stations randomly. you have a steering wheel control interface installed?

Thanks Gents..Got it all buttoned up and I most say, "this thing is the shiznitz"...thing is awesome...ipod video and functions are great, the bypass works perfectly, and bluetooth btb100 works fine...Thanks to this site and you guys.. :D

PS..yes I have the steering wheel control, amazingly programmed it on the first try...after reseting the D3, it no longer changed stations after turning teh ignition off.
