VSS and Reverse wire in 2002 Mazda Protege5

hey guys. i just got my new avic-d3 in the mail today. i did the search for the vss wire and found this.

VSS Wire: LOCATION 4 -IN FLOOR OF VEHICLE POSITION 58 OF ECM

VSS Wire Color: ORANGE AUTO - GREEN/YELLOW MANUAL

i'm not exactly sure where to look though from that location description so i figured i would ask.

also, where is the reverse light wire at? i don't really want to run the wire all the way to the rear unless i have too. thanks.

Reading that, I'd say the ecm is under the dash probably the passenger side since I don't recall seeing the ecm under the driver's side. As for the reverse I couldn't say since I don't have anything listed for it.

would you have any information about the reverse wire for any protege like 2001+?
