Local Car Toys got mine in today. Cost was 900.00. They gave me a discount (regular price 999.99) because I had a D2 put in my truck when I bought it new from a local Ford dealer. They got a grant total of ONE unit - mine so far.

Brought it home and it will stay in the box for about 2 weeks before I can get it installed. Due to the nature of this install, I will have Car Toys do it. They are quoting me a cost of 150.00. I'm sure I will need a mounting kit of some kind.

Now I gotta find out if the CD-R5 remote will work with it.

The installer insists that the SR1 steering wheel remote will work.

Pioneer never changes the coding to their remotes so both should work. I am using one from an old 7500DVD (similar to the CDR5) and it works perfectly

so u sure that CD-SR1 will work with AVIC-D3?

It will definitely change volume, tracks, work the navi, etc. I assume it will work the bluetooth too, but haven't myself tried it so I wouldn't want to say for sure

For SR1 and SR11, which one do u think is better with D3 ?

It seems SR1 is speciallay designed for Z1 while SR11 is for D1/2 and N series.

The only difference between the two is the 1 has talk & end buttons for bluetooth and the 11 does not

I JUST recieved mine about 20 min ago! Woo hoo I was one of the lucky ones that CF shipped my D3 after reporting out of stock. I thought maybe someone returned one and if they did I don't think they opened it because mine appears to be in all orginal packaging. The wait is finally over. Now I just gotta find time to get this sucka put in
