Is it ok to "tie-in" or "tap into" cables/wires?

Example:

I will need to GROUND the following 5 wires for my AVIC D3/06'Armada install:

Ground (from AVIC D3 power harness)

Ground (from AVIC D3 speaker wire harness)

Parking Brake (for Bypass)

Mute (also for Bypass)

Ground (from Sirius)

so, is it ok to simply combine the wires and then ground with 1 single wire?

Or do I need to do them separate?

back in my high school days (many years ago!0 I'm pretty sure I did this quite often with good results...I just don't know if this is considered okay nowadays...and I don't want to fry the D3.

Thanks!

Yes it is ok to do that. Make sure its a really good ground though.

Make sure NOT to hook those up to the harness that plugs into the stock harness. You muust ground them to a bolt in the dash. There is no ground in nissan radio harnesses.

I've got them all mounted/grounded to a bolt in the dash - no worries there.

Thanks!
