Hey guys. I tried the cutom bg disc thing, and I cannot find a good program without having to buy one. And with me not being that ambitious (and being cheap
) I didn't feel the need to buy a program that I would probably only use once or maybe twice. So, would anyone be willing to make one for me? I would pay them, obviously for their time, and for the disc. If you are interested in doing this for me, please let me know, and name your price. I am looking for images that have the Lexus logo, I saw a sweet carbon fiber one in the custom background gallery, or whatever you guys can come up with. My model is an ES300, if that matters. Basically, load the disc up with the Lexus images, and whatever else you think is cool. Thanks alot!

Google is your friend.
Torrents are your friend.
Bit Comet is also your friend.
Any program you need is a google, torrent away.
What program would you need? Other then a normal burning prog.
If you go to Nero or download.com you can find a free trial that will work. With a little searching (or polite asking) you could get the password for your nero and ....... Seek & ye shall find.
Man, my computer knowledge is slim to none. I can build a car from the ground up, but when it comes to computers, I am pretty much lost. Just looking for some help. Thanks
I read that, but I cannot find a program to open and move the PIM images into the ISO (that I don't have to buy, or any freeware version I find had a size limit). I suck at this.
Cant you try Photoshop for a week or so?

You just have to register. But they dont send you a bunch of crap.
I did it and have yet to get 1 thing from them.
Sweet! I will try that. I just keep running into size limitations on the free programs. Thanks alot!
Gimp and Paint.net are great alternatives to photoshop

How do I edit ISOs with this? Sorry guys, I am so bad with computers. Please help!
If I understand things right, you dont need an ISo editor.
Just save as, .PIM in the BG folder.
I sent you a PM.
And here I was under the impression that pioneer made this a user friendly function for the d3? Guess not. I have all the tools to do that, but seems like a long drawn out process for something that should be so simple.

Paint.NET is a great tool, it's free, and you won't feel bad for stealing it because you didn't. ![]()
Do these programs let me modify the ISO and save it? I am looking for the program that I move the background pics into the folder and save it, then burn, etc... I am getting the impression that these programs are for making backgrounds or altering pictures. Maybe I am incorrect...

I thought so also, doesn't the D3 allow you to drop them in easily as jpgs?

It probably is easy, guys, I am just making it harder on myself because I am a computer retard.
The D3 its super easy...
Dimension that work that i have found so the picture shows full screen.
500x240
pretty much make a jpg file that dimension and then dump your files in cd with the folder
/PICTURES/
make sure you have at least 1.2MB of jpgs and it should read fine... NO MP3s on the disc or it will think its a mp3 disc.
Under system options in Navi menu, change background... choose what you want... Startup image/Navi menu/AV Menu and pick import from disc and choose what you want... When your done... eject the disc and put back your NAVI dvd... (You don't have to have the cd in all the time to see your background is what i'm trying to say heh)
CiD
no executables either.
I have a D2...
