We've all seen posts on people complaining about the reception of their Z1's. I AM NOW IN THE SAME BOAT!! :P Does anyone have any ideas or advice on what could be going on? I literally have zero reception. Not one channel will come in. And YES, i have my antenna wire hooked up.. IS there an option I'm missing somewhere or anything I need to do to make it work? I drive an 06 WRX which had fine reception before.

Any help would be much appreciated guys, Thanks

are you talking about radio reception, gps, xm?

I'm talking about standard AM/FM radio...

Absolutely nothing comes through besides static.... What could I be missing? Obviously the Z1's radio should be functional, right?

I wonder what I have wrong?

any possibilities?

Not sure about subaru, but in most Fords there is a joint in the antenna wire somewhere between the antenna and the head unit...it sometimes can be pulled apart when doing an install which results in no signal....might look for something along those lines...

Try splicing the power antenna lead on the vehicle's harness to the red accessory wire. Sometimes the power antenna lead on an after market radio can't provide enough current to trigger the factory amplifier. Also make sure that ground strap is plugged into the factory bracket.
