The dings or the alerts that let you know a instruction is coming,has never worked on mine and i have had two Avic7000,I was wondering if anyone had this issue and if so did the firmware updates fix this?

I imagine you are talking about the navigation.

Mine does ding now just before I get the instructions. I never noticed them before this last update.

Thanks,i was familiar where the settings were but it has never worked for me and a few others,and this is my second unit.

I thought it was defective  on my first one but after i got the second one it was the same.
