that antenna wire is never gonna last

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 02:50 UTC#3

Yess it will, I did the same with my sirius Antenna. It gets pushed between rubber and rubber when the sliding moonroof closes

Posted Mar 14, 2007 · 12:26 UTC#4

The wire for the sirius antenna is also alot thinner. That gps antenna is getting crushed. It will fail in time.

Listen, thanks for your input. Maybe the picture is decieving. There is no reason the wire should ever break. There is very little pressure being put on the antenna wire at all. Maybe it will break, but by then the AVIC-D257 will be out.

holy huge pics :)

well despite the negative comments, nice work. you could just leave the gps antenna on your dash and it'd still work though ya know?

congrats on the new headunit.

I have the same civic as you. Where did you get your Double Din Dash Kit from? I cant find it anywhere without there being a middle support in the middle of the kit. Thanks!!

You just cut that piece out. 99-7865. You might have to trim the lower lip a bit unless you're putting in a d3.
