I've had the Z1 installed for almost 6 months now and have been using Sirius since day 1. All of a sudden, it stopped working, when i pan through the AV options, sirius is not even there (FM,AM,DVD,and Library). Before i start to pull things apart, do you think the problem is with the z1 or with my sirius pnr2 tuner?

thanks alot in advance!!

More than likely the tuner. Check the power connection. Possible the fuse is blown.

will a blown fuse look any different then a good fuse to the naked eye? i'm not exactly savvy in this department and any help would be great...

Yep,

look inside the glass. If there is a thin, unbroken, metal wire, then the fuse is likely good. If the wire is missing or broken then it's blown. Best thing is to use a fuse tester or multi-tester to be sure.

I have actually seen fuses which blew by melting the wire under the silver caps not in the center, so it was almost impossible to see it was blown by eye. So to be sure measure the resistance from one end to the other. If it's infinite (sometimes "OL" on a meter), it's blown. If it's close to 0 (under 5) it's fine.

Not to mention the filament in the fuse for the sirius unit is about as thick as a hair. Not easy to see in the first place. Best is to test as ducati suggested.

thanks for all the replies...i didnt install the zi myself and id rather not bring it back if i can fix it myself...i checked the fuse box on my car and all of the fuses look ok, not to mention everything works fine. I was just able to locate the sirius tuner, i found the yellow cord, which i think is for power, and there is some connector coming out of it, the connector has some model number and "fuse", is that supposed to be plugged in? If not, what would you all recommend my next step be...

try resetting it by unplugging it and plugging it back in.Could also be a bad sirius, but ive only seen that on the jvc model
