my D3 wont tell me if my xms signals strength and if it is connected or not. The XM works.

It seems to only inform you of your navtraffic signal if you have that option so i dont think there is any feature that shows just XM radio reception.

Mine does in the form of "no signal, weak, marginal, strong, very strong" Just go to the info/traffic tab and hit "xm status" P63 in the D3 Manual talks more about it.
