I have an AVIC D1, there is a possibility of getting a D2, but is it really worth it?, aren't they the same? I have looked around and from what I read the D1 and D2 are the same, but I'm just wondering if I missed anything.

Nothing's new on the D2 over the D1. All you need is an updated map DVD version 1.3 that will convert your D1 to a D2.

Theres very little downside to upgrading. Getting the discs will cost you maybe $10-15 and you'll have the new maps and POIs.

Or you can wait until the end of April and the 2007 discs will be out for the D1/2.

Ah, so now I play the waiting game, haha
