Hello All:

I have a BMW X3 with the N2...connected throught a Can-Bus unit...the 3D Hybrid works perfectly.

However, in my MB when it was connected to a D1 I couldn't get the 3D Hybrid mode, only the Simple Hybrid. The system is hooked up through a Can-Bus02.

Now, I have a Z1 and can't figure why the 3D Hybrid isn't detecting any speed pulse... The car tracks accurately and the Z1 seems to match my car's speed very accurately. Nonetheless, I am unable to get the 3D to work...

Anyone have any ideas as to how this should be done? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thx.

I think for some models of MBZ you have to get the Speed Pulse CB-1 4 C MBZ harness (around 120.00) separately. I remember the installer said something about it and saw it in my invoice. For most MBZ models you don't need it.

what is cb 14 c MBZ harness. I look 4 it but i cant find it ,is it a factory harness? I even googled and came up blank.

No clue, that is exactly what is listed on my invoice, the installer is Audio Symphony in San Francisco. They charge like crazy, but everything works, so what can I say.

Thx...I had my installer checked for the product and he came up blank. He couldn't figure out what it is. Thanks anyway. :(

Audio Symphony has a website (http://www.audiosymphony.com/auto.htm), why don't you give them a call and ask about the harness? I'm curious too since everyone seems to think that my ML has the speed pulse already, may be they are just milking me? But they seem to be very technical, especially with MBZ. I had no choice because I can't find anyone that's willing to do the installation.

I kinda figured the cb stood for CanBus...I do have a Canbus02 installed and connect based on Soundgate's directions, but it still will not read and speed pulse.

My contact at discountcarstereo.com (sold me the canbus) told me it is either not connected correctly or it isn't working. Once confirmed the unit is bad, he will replace the canbus for me. However, I was wondering if something with the MB was causing the 3D hybrid not to work...
