I've done my thorough research on both products. Both have their pros/cons and it's hard to go wrong with any HU. I'm not sure between these conflicting info. I've been told that you can play dvd/ipod off a second screen w/the DNX. Can the D3 play video ipod (since nav is already designated) on a second screen or even better, can it send nav to a second screen? Pioneer's site said it has a/v output but that's not what I've been told. Thanks if advance for your help.

i have been torn between the two units too.. i like the 7100 because it has text to speech, bigger screen and its nav is Garmin

i how ever have gone ahead and ordered the D3 from cruthcfield cuz whta i wanted out of my nav was fast ipod, bluetooth were my major two concerns

for crutchfiels price... which is cheaper than my circuit city discount i got

for 1100... i was seeing the 7100 for at chapest 1200 on ebay and 1200 by a seller on this cite.. i figured im banking about 500 because i would still have to buy the bluetotth, xm, ipod cable and eventually get the camera down the road and itwould total to like 1700 at cheapest... with no warranty

i personally love the 7100 but thats my input
