I recently installed the Avic-D3 in a nissan altima. Looks great, I love this new unit by pioneer. Thanks for the bypass info, relocating the mute wire worked great. I did run into a problem getting sound out of the dvd/cd source.... Just a heads up, make sure the antena is switched to power and not tuner. Other than that everything went smooth.

Or you could make sure to hook the blue wire from the avic harness to the blue wire of the 70-7550. then hook the blue/white from the avic to the blue/white of the 70-7550. Last step is to ground the black/white wire in the 70-7550 harness. The same steps apply for the 70-7551 for nissan's with a blose system.
