does the VSS wire to be hook up?
why does it need the speed sensor when there's a GPS antenna that track where the car is at all time?

you dont need the VSS wire. it is just for more accurate readings when using the navigation. im not running one in my jeep and i had my cop buddy clock me, my N3 said i was doin 68.7 MPH or so, he clocked me doing 67. thats not bad...

hope this helps...

You kind of answered your own question. The VSS is for when the GPS antenna cannot track you at all times. Like in a tunnel, on the bottom level of a bridge, or in the mountains. It also makes your vehicle dynamics more accurate

They had to unhook my VSS in my Land Rover discovery--it was all whacked out. They said I needed some $300 part to get it to work properly, so they left it unhooked and Im running it that way.
