Alright.. I had a Kenwood MP5028 that had an Aux input on the back..where I then bought a $2 iPod thing that connects to it...I can't seem to find an Aux input on the Avic N1..and I really do not need nor want the whole iPod adapter kit. I'm find with controlling the iPod on the iPod

Buy a mini to rca cable and run it into the A/V input on the hideaway brain. Turn on the A/V input in the setup menu of the AVIC. Done
