Let's see some creativity. I figure the best place to mount it is in the license area, but I don't really want anything exposed and hanging out. Any other place or creative ideas that you guys put it?

I plan on putting mine in place of the keyhole... I will be installing a trunk release setup at the same time, so i figure I have a release inside of the cabin and on my remote and that will be sufficient. Plus I want a clean look....

Any suggestions on locations for the backup camera for this application?

I put mine here on my ex cab tacoma. Its a little low to the ground but it was the only place that wasn't totally obvious. I don't want the cam to clue people that I have a nav system to go with it. But yeah this is where I put mine.

Well mine is in the mail and I also have a 2006 Tacoma X-Cab. I might try under the receiver too.

thought Id be the smartass, i put it on the back of my car. hell i even put one in the front.

I put mine in the middle of my bumper. I thought I'd try it before getting my body kit.

I drilled out the center of my rear deck lid VW emblem and installed the camera in there. You can't see the camera unless you are looking directly at the VW emblem...I'll have to send a pic. I plan to take the camera out to reinstall in another vehicle. The new replacement emblem is on the way.

hey dascsh. did you see the mythbusters episode about that license plate thing you have there. Those things dont work.

dont know if THAT is the same one in mythbusters, or if its just to keep it clean as a sign of taking care of their car. though i am sure there are some types that do work.
