My Z1 GPS was working great but on my way to work the other day it started jumping forward and backwards on the screen. I had the install done but after checking I believe that the VSS is hooked up. Has anyone had this problem or any ideas on what might cause it and how to fix.

do you mean that the vss 'isnt' hooked up? cuz it doesnt really make sense reading what you posted about having the install done but after checking ... poor choice of words if what you meant to say was..."i installed it and the vss wire is hooked up"

Sorry, for the confusion. What I was trying to say is that I had the install done professionally and after checking it looks to me that the VSS is hooked up.

hmm, try resetting it yet? sounds like a new install and may need calibration, i think its 400 miles it does its self calibration but dont believe it should be jumping around like that

I reset everything and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks for you help, this forum is great.
