Hey everyone

i had a question

i have the Z1 and i installed a 2 channel amp, connected to the front speakers, connected to the "front out" RCA's from the head unit. Now, i have no sound from the rear speakers. it's as if it becomes a "dead head" when it sensed the amp connected.

Does anyone have a fix? I'd like to run

Front Speakers = 2 channel amp

Rear Speakers = powered from Z1

Sub = ext bridged amp

what vehicle is this? maybe you need to turn the factory amp on for the rears? which would suggest you have an amp already for the fronts your amping again maybe?

are you sure you just cant hear them over the amp? try unplugging your rca's and turning the volume up to see if they are actually playing

2003 f-150 harley..no factory amp.

i left out a detail. up until today i had been running the fronts and rears off of the head unit without issues. Not until i plugged in the amp did the rears quit.

i did pan front to rear to be sure the rears were not working.

check the rear speakers to make sure they are good still, maybe when you installed the amp for the fronts they blew, or you disconnected the wiring along the way... or .. or ..

did anyone connect a 2channel amp to your front only speakers, leaving the head unit to run the rears?

yes. its someting your doing. or unit is bad.
