I recently purchased an AVIC-Z1 from a private seller, just wanted to know if the Connector 2 plug is an optional plug that you have to buy separately? Seems like a waste to purchase this item only for the sole purpose to bypass the Z1 park method. Can anyone confirm this? Any cheap places to purchase this cable? Thanks.

Connector 2 came with every single Avic Z1. You did not have to buy this cable separately. And other than ordering a replacement from Pioneer directly I don't know where to get one. Who ever sold you that unit, at one time had that cable, unless they gave it to a shop to install and they threw it away without telling the owner.
