The D3 will be obsolete in 4 years. Whats the point?

If you pay for it with your american express card, you'll get an extra year of warranty at no charge.

Purchased my D3 from Crutchfield with amex, using 15% off discount code and free backup cam. very happy!

I wouldn't buy it without Pioneer's 1 year warranty. These things can come out of the factory defective and if you bought it from an unoauthorized dealer, you're SOL.

But I wouldn't bother spending the extra $$ on an extended warranty.
