I installed the AVIC-D3 into my Subaru WRX, and I also followed the instructions for the parking brake bypass and moving the mute wire. However, the dvd will work if i drive below 10-15 mph, but the dvd will not show on the screen if i drive any faster. I still need to install the VSS wire, do you guys think that the VSS wire is what is causing this problem, or do you think i have a different problem?

no, you have to bypass it as instructed, obviously its not done 100% correctly, check it and youll probably find your problem there

yeah the bypass is definitely not hooked up correctly. Make sure that mute wire you relocated is securely in place and touching the pin.

Unrelated Question:

Does by-pass affect the muting function of bluetooth phone or any other 'muting' related function (or anything at all). I would believe it would affect something since its a 'mute' wire???

Thanks.

No, mute is for like a parrot bluetooth

yeah mute is only for an external bluetooth like previously stated (parrot) this has nothing to do or wont interfere if you have the pioneer bluetooth adapters
