I have a D2 with a sirpnr1 and am thinking of getting a D3. I have noticed how lacking the info is on the sirus is copared to the xm unit. Is it because i have the older sirus unit or is it because pioneer is more xm "friendly". It will only display part of artist, or name of channel. I can not direct acces channels either? I have seen the D3 with xm and it has artist,channel song and more.....is it the same with the new sirpnr2 or??

Keep in mind that we will all probably need (or want - depending on what channels/features you can get) new equipment for satellite radio after the Sirius/XM merger is complete.

That's just my guess anyway...

I have sirus for now (NFL) but I'm almost sure that I'll have to buy new equipment for the AVIC D3 within a year....

With the D3, you do have direct access to channels by hitting the direct button. If you press the display button on the touchscreen, it will scroll through the song info (song, artist, channel, etc.) Not as good as XM, but worlds better than the D2

I think the XM box is better than the Sirius box simple as that, has nothing to do with the D3, I hope Sirius puts out a better box soon.

No matter what navi you go with it will be limited with Sirius due to the interface box.
