I currently have a D1, but plan to upgrade to the Z1/Z2 in the future.

Since my car is not double-DIN, I plan to make a custom bezel around the face. The D1 and Z1 faceplates are not exactly the same size, and I want to make the bezel opening large enough to accommodate both models.

Would anyone be so kind as to supply the exact dimensions of the Z1/Z2 faceplate? Please be as precise as possible. Or if you have the optional trim ring, dimensions of the opening will work too.

The D1 and Z1/Z2 are exactly the same. They are both double din units. if you want exact measurements they are 4x7

Thanks, but I'm not talking about chassis size but the actual faceplate. For example, the face on the D1/D2 is smaller than the chassis which is 4x7, the face is maybe just 3.75" tall and 6.75" wide (just guestimates, I didn't actually measure it). The HU will be be mounted behind the bezel and the face is a different size than the chassis itself, so I want to make the opening just the right size to fit several HU's without making it larger than necessary.
