So i am installing the 6 disk dvd changer in my g35, hooked it all up to my d2. The video works great but no audio. What am i doing wrong...hooked up the power, set it to ip bus, hooked up the ip bus and the av bus. If it is getting video from the av bus how could it not be getting audio???
xdv-p6 problem
Have been tinkering with it for about 4 hours now....still cant get any audio whatsoever....A pioneer guru with any advise would be very helpful. Could it be a bad dvd changer, bad d2 or bad av bus wire??? Very frustrating!!!!! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP
Sure you don't have your P-bus or A/V bus cables backwards
I dont think so...and i just took the av bus out and hooked up up with the RCA's and still i have video...NO AUDIO! Any idea's would be greatly appreciated..im starting to think that the changer is bad or something
Audio is carried on the IP-bus.
Check that the IP-bus is in correctly. A lot of times the cable will be backwards or in 'In' of the DVD-changer when its supposed to be in the 'Out'. When this happens you'll have video and full control of the DVD changer, but no audio.
Ok well when i hooked up the rca's i left the ip bus alone....would it still not get audio if the ip bus was on wrong? I will have to go check that
I'm pretty sure that the IP-bus carries the audio even when the RCA's are connected.
Ok well i took out the rca's and connected the av bus back. I think i might of the ip bus the wrong direction like you said...now i have both black ends going to the hide away unit and the purple and blue ends going to the head unit but still no audio???
Ok THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU.....I LOVE YOU GUYS. You were absolutly right, I had the ip bus backwards and in the in instead of out...who do i send the beers to...LOL
Since your offering, I will take a case ![]()
