On the GEX-P10XMT unit, is it the IP-Bus cable that tells the unit when to turn on an off? I just recieved mine and there is a supplemental correction sheet in the box that tells you not to connect the RED wire when the unit is attached via the IP-Bus cable. The RED wire is the one designated for the switched ingnition lead. Is this correct?

Wire it according to the correction sheet. If you use the IP Bus along with the data cable, you only need to wire the yellow wire to a constant power supply. That is. power regardless of key position. Well, you need to connect the ground too. Take the red wire and tape it off. That's all there is and it works great that way.
