Hey.

I am thinking of getting the xm add on for my D2, but am wondering if anyone has it with a D2, and how does it work?

Does the unit respond quickly? Can you scroll thru songs? I've heard the ipod interface is awful with the D2, so wondering if the XM interface is just as worse, or any better?

Any pics of XM being used on a D2 would be awesome. Thanks guys.

The interface is nice looking and easy to use. I am sure you can find pics if you look at Pioneer site. As for scrolling through songs, you can but it only brings up like five or six at a time so it is slow

I find it very simple. It has three bands that you can program to have 6 channels/band. The Mode button is pretty cool too. When there's a song/artist you like, you can program up to 12 tracks. When that song is played at any other station, a button flashes giving you the option to go directly to that song that's playing on that particular station. If you live in one of the designated cities for XM NavTraffic, that's really a gem to have for $3.99/mo added to your existing subscription. It tells you the average speed at most major highways, and if you're navigation is directed through that route, it will offer different routes to avoid congestion. Check the website if your city offers XM NavTraffic. Very very useful to have if you can't afford to be late.

It's great. I used the touchscreen at first to switch stations, but after a few months and getting to know the stations and categories, I just use the knob to meander around so I can switch stations without looking at the unit. I don't even use the 'favorites' functionality anymore since I decided it was limiting my variety.

Its OK. i was actually expecting better quality and fidelity from a full "digital" signal.

Digital does not mean high def. But you should check out the channels thag XM DOES broadcast in high def, if you are a true audiophile you will have the right equipment for it.
