ok, so why is it that most of the time I'm driving the GPS is lagged by like 3 seconds...and when I'm at a stop light it says im like 5 10 feet from the road...?

did you hook up your VSS?

How old is the unit?

If it was just installed give it some time.

The unit needs time to calibrate itself. It'll calibrate its internal gyros and you'll find that as time goes on the unit will become more accurate.

I also forgot to mention that these units are not 100% perfect.

There will always be a little lag with any navigation unit that is out there on the market today. Three seconds may be a little more than usual, but it'll vary depending on how old your unit is, satellite signal strength, ect.
