Do I need to connect the Power lead on the Camera to the Battery (+12VDC) or to the Ignition (On/Off) lead?

I've lost the instructions and I currently have it connected to the Battery (+12VDC) and I can't get it to work...before I try it connected to the On/Off lead - i wanted to ask here.

And another quick question...if I'm wanting to use this camera as an "ALWAYS ON" camera (such as either a "baby" cam or as a "boat" cam)...do I just leave the Rear Pulse lead completely disconnected?

it goes to accessory. you can turn the camera on in the settings menu
