I have the 5700 and i like that when i go in reverse the camera comes on. is there any way to bypass this unit with the reverse light hooked up

The Bypass does not involve the reverse wire...only the mute wire and parking brake...like everyone else has said...read the 2nd post...it's all there very clearly...

Ok, just so this asshole shuts the hell up....
Do the bypass. Hook your camera and reverse gear input up as usual. It will all work.
