I connected the a avic-d3 sub out to an Alpine 2/1 channel power amp mrv-1000, as I plan on using it for a sub woofer. it powers up but I get little sound no matter what the settings are at- it sounds about as loud as one of the l-r speakers even though the gain on the amp is all the way up. Suggestions?

i think all avics have a separate sub control, did you mess with that? is it even on (sub control)? if so did you try turning the sub up?

what kind of noise is it. is it a loud hissing sound.
