My new AVIC-D2 radio is not as good as my Bose system used to be (01 Pathfinder). I have used the antenna adapter to connect to the HU to the vehicle antenna. Still, the radio is very weak compared to stock.. is this how the other units are too?

did you hook up the red power antenna wire in the radio harness ?

No. The antenna is a fixed. Its not a power antenna. Do I still need to connect the red wire to the blue from the HU?
