I just installed the AVIC D3 in my 07 Fronty. There is no VSS wire but I found the info on how to hook it up to the speedo. It's on pin 6 at the instrument cluster. Pictures, etc at http://www.smarc.net/avic

Good job, however if the airbag light gets tripped it will not disable the airbag system. In fact getting the airbag light to turn off can be done without having to take the car to the dealer. I don't remember the steps off the top of my head, but I'll post them after work tomorrow.
I sure would like to know the procedure. Especially since I already had to have it fixed when I powered it up with everything disconnected... Dealer told me that airbag flashing meant the system was shutdown...
Not planning on a repeat, but still...
Totally forgot that I posted the airbag reset info for another member a while back. I guess trying to keep track of almost 2800 posts'll do that. Oh well whatever.
