I am receiving a new Equus 3100 code reader, and was hoping someone would know where the OBDII plug was on a 97 Ford Explorer? Im sure its in an obvious spot, but it's 5AM, and I am at work already. Too dark to go looking around under the dash. :) Thanks!

if i remember correctly theres a littleplastic pop out at the bottom of the drivers side dash, but if i'm thinking of the wrong year then its right behind the dash panel at the bottom

Ahh that's what I get for going off my memory. Hell my brain age is 87 so I guess that'll tell ya something...

you sure it wasnt an empty bottle of JD again? LOL

I have some problems tho :( Thing tells me I have two problems, "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold" and " Camshaft Position A Circuit". I REFUSE to spend any more $$$ on this 10 yr old jalopy! lol

The first one sounds like a bad cat or 02 sensor. The second sounds like a problem with the camshaft position sensor.
