D3 Startup and backround image difference

Hey guys,

I just ordered my D3 from CF. I have since then seen a few demos and saw that you can customize backgrounds which I know how to do, but I also recently saw a video of someone's D3 where they had a custom startup screen. Any idea how to go about doing this or is there a difference between the background and startup screen? Thanks!

Page 66 in the manual.

Lists dimensions for the pic and how to load it.

You do NOT have to put 20 pictures in there as some people state. You DO have to burn a minimum of 1.8mbs.
