Anyone know the availability status of the upgrade disk? I've called the 3 install shops near me that sell Pioneer and they are clueless.

I also called Pioneer on Friday and the customer-no-service guy didn't know if it had been made available yet.

It's not available yet.

It should be available in late June or July. It is a 2-1/2 hour update that is supposed to be done by an authorized dealer due to the upgrade disc authentication process.

then disk in z1 will give serial and ask for a cd key

next I have to generate cd key via pioneer intranet

that disk becomes only usable on that z1 unit

Maybe I should take a Z2 image and do the update for people for only $150?
