Can someone tell me how to determine the nearest "something" using POI. Recently I wanted to find the nearest - (I don't think it matters) - e.g. Dunkin Donuts. Several hundred were listed after I entered the name (at 70 mph thanks to the work around!) I had to know what town I was in to find it. I would think you should be able to just get the nearest one. Was it right in front of me or is there a better way? Any thoughts?

Use Vicinity Search instead of POI. For Dunkin Donuts, use the Fast Food category. You will get a list of all the closest fast food joints, just scroll down till you see Dunkin Donuts.

It will tell you what town you are in at the bottom of the map screen, but other than that, only the Z1/2 sort by distance. Vicinity Search works better for finding nearby businesses
