Almost got my choice D2 or D3?

What leads me towards the D2 is the fact that you don't need to take the Nav disk out to listen to CD's, but I don't know what the difference would be as far as the Nav disks, like roads, and POI, ETC

Much difference? I already have a DVD player in my vehicle.

I don't think roads, POI, etc would be that different. It's still Teleatlas.

D3 is much better due to features like iPod control, can play DVDs, rotary volume, etc. If you don't think you need those things then the D2 will be fine, but I personally would not get the D2 for anywhere near the cost of a D3. I'd only get it if you'll save a couple hundred bucks.

I had the same dilemma, and finally went with the D2. The DVD switching part sold me b/c I figured after swapping DVDs for a week, I would be so annoyed that I would regret not having gotten the D2.

My biggest callout now is that I wish I had bluetooth connectivity on the D2. I am still not sure though what would annoy me more by now - DVD swapping or picking up cellphone while driving...

Well since I dont have BT, that wont be an issue, so I am REALLY leaning towards the D2, especially if the maps/POI are pretty much the same, plus the D2 tilts.

Get an iPod and the single slot won't be an issue either.

You can get a second-hand one for less than $100 that will be equivalent to a 100-CD changer.
