Hey All,

I was sent here by another forum because this is the place to be regarding Pioneer AVIC d3.

I just bought a new trailblazer SS, and want to get the D3 installed..the problem is i dont know a whole lot about cars.

Anyone know a good ( cost effective) shop in the chicagoland area?

Anyone really good with cars can help me out with the install?

Abt Electronics in Glenview is great. I had an overhead DVD installed in my wife's Equinox there last year. They only install products they've sold, however, so if you already have the D3 you'll need to look elsewhere.

They are pretty good at price matching, so if you can find a better price from an authorized dealer, bring in proof and they'll beat the price.

I am redoing the entire system of my car. The guys from Mobile Tel in West Chicago said they will do the entire thing (amps, speakers, rewire, d3, etc) for about 350-400.

They did the Viper alarm and I really liked their work... its much better quality than your corner Best Buy and what not.
