I installed Pioneer's update (used disc sent from them) and I still have an echo problem. I tried turning off one speaker, and still have the echo. I have the mic installed away from the windshield (on my overhead console) and still have the echo! What else can I try?

Try moving the mic to the driver's A Pillar aimed at your head. Set the sound to come out of the left speaker only. Repairing the phone with the volume turned down helps too sometimes.

How loud is the volume on the Avic for the phone? Even after the update with the volume very high, it will still echo, but it will get louder than before without an echo. Try 3 bars from the lowest volume setting. Still echo?
