I tried making some custom backgrounds. When I tried loading them, I got an error. I was able to load some backgrounds I downloaded from here. I created jpegs, progressive, at 500x240. What am I doing wrong?

You may need to label a folder named PICTURES before anything. then dump pics into there. check in the manual pg. 66

I did. I had a few pictures I downloaded from here, and then a bunch I created. The ones I downloaded worked fine, but the ones I created didn't work.

The progressive part is your problem. Save them as standard jpegs and you will be fine. The D3 can not display progressive jpegs.
