Avic-Z2 Software Update / Avic-Z1 Bypass Conflicts

I'm a few days away from purchasing my Avic. I was going to get the Z2, however now I'm leaning towards getting a Z1 since the bypass is already known, and nobody has had any luck on bypassing the Z2. I figure I can get the Z1, bypass it, and get the Z2 software update CD's when they are available. I'm wondering though if by installing the Z2 software updates, will they make the Z1 bypass not work anymore? With my luck, this is exactly what would happen, and then someone would publish the Z2 bypass.....

Any thoughts, suggestions, Z2 bypass updates?

The Z2 software isn't out yet so nobody knows for sure that it will disable the Z1 bypass, but it has been said by more than one person that it will, so its very possible

Pretty likely that the software update will disable the current Z1 bypasses.

I have a brand new Avic-Z1 October built for sale. We only powered it up for a Zapco demo. I'd blow it out for cheap. Free ups red next day shipping. [email protected]

Not likely, it doesn't work. Before reading these posts, I installed the Z2 with the Z1 2 grounding wire solution. No go sadly. So now I stay glued to theses forums looking for a solution. It's so ridiculous that they need to go to such lengths to disable functions. All they need is the legal disclaimers then it's operator beware.
