Okay i installed my avic d3 on saturday. Today i use it for the first time and it got off track on my way home from work. I did not have the nav cd in either if that helps.Do any of use know why it would do that do i need to find a better place for the antenna or what would cause that please help me, or maybe dont i have the vss wire connected to the right wire

Anywho, did you have it looking for a path prior to you ejecting the DVD map. It only saves a certain amount of data if you are using the disc prior to ejection.

IF you are unsure about your VSS, go look at the pulse while you are driving in the options tab. The number should increase the faster you go, and be at zero when at a full stop. If it is not connected to anything, it will read zero regardless.

Also, try using the magnet square they provided you to improve reception.
