Hey

I have a pioneer Avic-D2 and ive been having it since december . Ive noticed that some of the buttons pertaining to the navigation are greyed out. Such as most of the buttons when i press DEST they all greyed out accept Check Vicinity ....what could cause this? Also i tried having a professional install my dvd player by pass come to find out he said the dvd player doesnt play the dvds i find that odd due to the fact its brand new....he installed a switch and he said it just says disc loading......but never plays ....anyone can help me with either issue.........

The D2 doesn't play movies. The buttons are greyed out unless you have your parking brake on, or have your unit bypassed

i know it doesnt play movies that y i bought a seperate dvd player and went to have it installed yesterday.....and was told the seperate dvd player wasnt functioning....and i have a bypass switch installed as of yesterday and still the buttons are greyed out whether im in park or driving

Then they didn't do the bypass correctly. If they did, those buttons would not be grey when the switch is in the correct position
