I plan on getting either the Z1 or the AVH-P6800dvd and just cross my fingers and wait for their next stand-alone navigation unit to come out like the Avic-88DVD or the S1...i guess it all depends on the price of install for the Z1.

I know i can do it since i installed my AVH-P7500DVD and Avic-88DVD but this time I want them to bypass the Z1 to work while i drive as well as get access to my factory steering wheel controls in my G35. So far, I went to Newport Autosound and they quoted me $2000 for the unit and install and bypass and steering remote...is there anywhere in the area that does the install for cheaper? I can get the unit for $1600.

Where have you guys done the install at? For those that did it on your own, is the steering wheel remote module from PAC pretty easy to install? feedback would be great!
