I have a 2003 GMC 3/4 ton truck and I have a problem with a loud engine noise which I tried fixing making new grounds but no change. Any other ideas? I also did the by pass by the grounding method and now I can't use the vehicle dynamics. Is this suppost to happen and what would happen if I hook up my park brake wire normally. My last problem is I have a orange and a orange with white stripe coming from my trucks wiring harness. Neither one gives me 12V for dimming. Am I missing something? Great web site.

If you ground your parking brake wire normally, then you would have to engage the parking brake to use all the features.

You can also get the illumination signal directly from the driving lights or the headlights. All you need is +12V when the lights are on.

Won't the grounded wire on the #2 connector allow the functions to be used when moving or does the park brake also need to be grounded. I thought the grounding of the park brake was just for use while stopped without the brake on.

If the parking wire is not engaged, you will not be able to view video or do any "advanced" navigation.
