I have looked everywhere to find an explanation of a red icon that appears all over the nav maps...as I was checking out Pioneer's website I came accross a screen shot of a z2 with the same mysterious icon...anyone here have a clue what it might be? Here's the link:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/image/popup/0,,2076_310069681_423070352,00.html It's the icon located under "Hall Park" on the map

Thanks!!!

I have seen that as well, and usually next to state parks, at least here in NC. Since it says "Hall Park," I think it's safe to say it may be a marker for parks, monuments, etc. Not exactly sure however.

To me it looks like the sat that it is getting the info from, there is a red line going from the car to this

On I-5 on the west coast, there are bathrooms where there are those logos. Only noticed because three years ago they weren't there

There is one of those icons across the street from my house....just a wooded area....no park no bathroom.... have you seen that Mel Gibson scifi movie "Signs"?

It looks like a fountain so it could be a park.

I know this is an old post, but I got an answer from pioneer on this, it IS a park, this is supposed to be a water fountain. The red line is to your destination.
