D3 in a 2007 Saturn Vue

I managed to get the D3 installed in my lady's 2007 Saturn Vue (redline) with factory amp and subwoofer.

Works ok, and I even got the Pioneer XM tuner to use the XM antenna already on the Vue. But I have a couple questions that maybe someone could help with.

1. On-Star, supposedely the Vue is still using the Class-II data bus for the onstar. I ordered a Class2 interface from Metra/Axxess (GMOS4). but can't get it figured out. The interface has the old fat GM connector on it, but the Vue has the newer GM connectors.

2. Factory amp volume level. Is the factory amp designed for 4 volt line inputs? I ask because even with the D3 turned all the way up to 40, it seems not quite loud enough.

Any advice?

I got 06 redline w/o bose premium audio. the part I got to retain onstar is from axxess and it's for the 2006-2007 VUE/ION (GMOS-LAN-06) I will be installing it with the AVIC-D3X today so I'll let you know how everything goes. Oh yeah, did the stock antenna just plug right in? or did you have to mod it?

OK, don't know if this will help you any but you have figured out that a Saturn is a unique duck!!!! I have an 04 Vue redline and played 7 kinds of hell tring to get the D-3 into the dash and all working correctly. They do not make a double dash kit and the wiring harness is only for a 04 to 06 vue only. I ended up making a dash kit and made it work!!! I tried to get the onstar to work and am still working on the conversion to the factory harness because it is not the standard GM. I have started with looking up the wiring harness plug confgs online for mine an another gm I know the bypass works with to compair plugs. hopefully with some luck and time it will work....if not there is always a cell phone ;-) Good luck with yours and i'll post another if or when I get it working.

Okay so the part number was right and it does work only problem was somehow the pinout on the harness was incorrect so when I installed it, it didn't work correctly. I ended up calling tech support and I finally got him to verify the pinout after he demanded that I just send it back for a new one. I finally got everything working and I also installed the steering wheel radio remote OEM intigration module. I must tell you it was a B**ch of an install. Saturn doesn't give you enough room for all this stuff in the dash!!!
